Ford Mustang the Sporty Little Car with Inspiration and Performance

When the Spanish Conquistadors arrived on the shores of the North American Continent over 500 years ago they did not come alone. With them they brought some of the finest horses the world had ever seen. It was from the horses of the Conquistadors that the huge herds of Mustangs descended.
The Legends:

Every wild horse herd has to have its legendary stallions, and there have been many. One in particular that stood out from the others and was instantly recognized as the horse destined to become a lead stallion. " Mesteno" which means " unclaimed
horse" in Spanish, lived his entire life running free on the Steens Mountains of South Eastern Oregon. Most Kigers today can trace their bloodlines back to this one horse. This horse had so much presence to him that he inspired the model making company " Breyer" to make a series depicting his life story. From his birth to his twilight years he is portrayed in the "Mesteno" series.
The Ford Motor Company certainly recognized the Image and Inspiration of Legends.

It developed and refined many Greats; such as the "Thunderbird" and "Grand Marquis"...

Yet one of the Leaders that captured the hearts of North Americans and beyond was, and still is: "The Mighty Mustang"!
Yet one of the Leaders that captured the hearts of North Americans and beyond was, and still is: "The Mighty Mustang"!

"Ford Mustang" the stuff that Legends are made of, maintains it's reputation and continues to be designed and built as the Sporty little car with Inspiration!

Get Up and Go Power, Innovation and Luxury, well deserving of North Americas Pride and Joy!

The Elegant and Powerful Jaguar Car

A car which is a symbol of classic elegance and quality performance is the Jaguar. The name Jaguar made its debut in the United Kingdom and since then has been the icon for Britain's upper class society. Although recently, Jaguar has been acquired by the joint efforts of several automotive manufacturers, it still has the undeniable character of luxurious English tradition.
The Jaguar tradition began when William Walmsley and Bill Lyons started a company called Swallow Sidecar in 1922. It was based in England and was involved in the production of sidecars for motorcycles made of aluminum. In 1933, the name of the company changed to SS Cars Ltd when they decided to enter into the production of cars. The SS Jaguar 100 was officially the first Jaguar car.

SS Cars again changed its name to Jaguar after the Second World War to avoid any connection with the Nazi army which had the same letter initials. The Jaguar Mark V came out in 1948, which was the first post war production car to be produced by Jaguar. The Mark V was a sedan and was followed by the XK120 which gained its popularity due to its high speed performance. It was this car that catapulted the fame of Jaguar into the forefront of the automotive industry.

The Jaguar cars were introduced to the United States in the 1950s. The car model Mark VII Saloon was especially designed for the American consumer and proved to be an important product on the market. That same car won the Monte Carlo Rally in 1956. The Mark VIII and Mark IX soon followed their predecessor.

The E-type Coupe or XK-E was one of the most popular models of Jaguar launched in the 60s. It was a complete package of elegance, style, luxury and performance. The popular band groups then like the Rolling Stones and The Beatles, who used Jaguar cars, also contributed a great deal to the car's continued fame.

The seventies paved way for the production of a new breed of fast coupes namely the XJ6C, XJ12C and the XJ-S. The XJ12C had a V12 engine which made it the fastest car during that time.

Continuing Jaguars tradition of class and performance, the eighties witnessed the super car XJ220 and the XJ-S HE. Due to tight competition with the rise of German automotive companies, Jaguar felt the need to acquire partners to maintain its hold on the market, but this resulted instead to a full buy out by Ford during the nineties. Bold efforts by Ford during the first years resulted in the production of other Jaguar models. Unfortunately, sales of Jaguars lowered when Ford decided to manufacture low-priced Jaguars, a move which took out the luxury status Jaguar had had,and also lost its supporters and clients. Jaguar was overshadowed by various types of new designs of new car brands and was considered a liability to Ford. A decision was made to sell Jaguar to a new Indian management.

The Race Car Inspired BMW M3

German premier automotive maker BMW continues to maintain its hold as the top selling luxury auto brand in the world. Battling with archrival Mercedes-Benz year in and year out for the highest laurels, BMW continues to constantly tweak its existing line and add new vehicles to its line in a bid to stimulate and strengthen customer interest. One area where BMW has found much of its recent success is with its race car inspired line of vehicles, the M Series. Since 1979 various Motorsports [M} tags have been affixed to vehicles that have been developed by the BMW Motorsports division, including the BMW M3 a car based on BMW's popular 3 Series. Today, BMW engineers are hard at work on developing an all new BMW M3 and, if all of the auto buzz is correct, very few cars will be able to keep up with this 400 hp road commander. Please keep reading for a closer look at the all new, soon to be released, BMW M3.

For luxury car enthusiasts, the BMW-Mercedes rivalry has been a win-win battle as both automakers have been pouring engineering funds into their vehicles. Neither automaker is resting on their past achievements; instead both are pressing forward to add the latest safety features including Mercedes' Night Vision Assist and BMW's impact absorbing bumpers which absorb stronger impacts without damaging the vehicle's main body. Safety is one of the chief concerns for consumers when selecting a particular luxury brand according to all of the leading automotive industry surveys.
For BMW, its latest automotive project has been a closely guarded secret until very recently. Camouflaged spy shots of the all new BMW M3 have been circulating on the internet for some time now but only since June has a pre-production version of a fully unclothed BMW M3 been spotted. It was seen navigating the twisting roads of Southern California according to The Car Connection, the vehicle information and shopping site.

3 Great Luxury Cars

Luxury cars are wonderful things, but not everyone can afford to drive one. If you're one of the lucky few who can, or if you just like to look at them and learn about them, there are a few that you really should pay attention to.
The Porsche Boxster has been popular for years, and it seems that Porsche continues to do great things with it. Each time it's revamped it offers more power, more comfort, and more class, making it a favourite among those who are looking for a luxury car that still offers a lot of sporty sophistication. Not everyone wants a huge, four-door vehicle when it comes to a luxury car. There's certainly nothing wrong with this option, but there are other choices, and Porsche wants you to remember that there are other options when you're looking for that next luxury automobile.
If the Porsche Boxster isn't quite what you're after, it might be better to check into the Aston Martin Db9 Volante. Aston Martin got famous as James Bond's car, but the company makes several different models and they all provide the driver with a lot of luxury and sophistication. If you want to have a high-status and high-quality car, it's hard to go wrong with an Aston Martin, regardless of what model you decide to buy. The

enthusiasts have given a lot of thought to. That's unfortunate, because it's a great car and can be acquired for a good price when compared to other luxury cars with the same options. Choose from a colour palette that offers beauty and style, and know that you'll be getting a car with every available option. There are no 'stripped down' models where Aston Martin is concerned.

Bentley is another great luxury car, and the Continental GT is one of the best Bentley models. If you're looking for high-end luxury with a name that you know you can trust, you can't go wrong with the Bentley Continental GT. Bentley is a distinctive brand and it offers so much more than a lot of other cars - even those that are in the luxury designation - because of its attention to detail and quality as well as its reputation. When you consider getting a luxury car, make the Bentley dealer one of your first stops. You'll be glad you took the time to see one of the highest-quality cars on the market.

Hiring a Luxury Car

Zipping away in a powerful luxury car cannot be compared to any thing. This is especially true for people who are crazy about driving. Some people cannot afford to buy jazzy wheels, so they part with some of their savings to go for a spin in their favorite luxury vehicle. If you don't have the finances to buy an exotic car, don't worry, you can get one for hire. Your finances shouldn't prevent you from getting the best things in life. If you are planning to hire a luxury car this season, here are some useful tips on how to go about it.
Are you crazy about exotic cars in general or do you love only a particular brand? Whatever it is that you want, there are plenty of options open to you. You can set aside a small amount of money each month and when you have enough, you can take your dream vacation in a luxury car. You can contact car rental companies and find out what cars they have that you want. You can rent these cars on a daily basis, for the weekend or for a few days. Choose your luxury car carefully because renting such a car could cost you a thousand dollars and you don't want to waste your money experimenting with a car you are going to be disappointed with.
You need to keep your own insurance papers in order. The car rental company will offer you a contract that you will have to go through with a pinch of salt. Considering the expense of the vehicle, you have to be careful with the insurance papers and other documents of the car. Everything will be in the contract, it is your reading and understanding of it, that makes all the difference. There will be chauffeur driven exotic cars, so understand the expenses that will cost you, if you are going for such a car. Similarly, if you don't understand a particular point, ask about it immediately. You should understand where you stand in case of an accident.
People hire luxury wheels for several reasons. For weddings, parties, official functions and even for impressing a girlfriend. Some people are very particular about the luxury car they buy for themselves. They first want to drive it for a few days to know the feel and power of the vehicle before they make a final choice. They visit these rental agencies, sign the contract and drive it for a few days. The decision made by someone who hires a car for such a thorough test drive will often be the best because no advertisements influenced his decision.
There are certain seasons during which these car rental agencies offer you good discounts. This will be displayed in their websites. You have to check back regularly for the offer of a lifetime. You have to follow their instructions for collecting and returning the vehicle and make sure you leave the vehicle as you found it. If you are a good and frequent customer, agencies that now and trust you will give you special deals.

Jaguar Motor Cars - Could This Classic Auto Have Evolved Differently

Jaguar motor cars. The name says it all - sleek like a Jaguar or Panther cat. Sleek fast and stealthy. Yet among automobile manufacturers Jaguar is unique in that although its pedigree is British and deeply bred at that, the vehicle evolved within an American auto consumer's framework. The two grew together and evolved along the highways, race and rally tracks together so to speak.
Yet the story of Jaguar is also the story and tale of the venerable Sir William Lyons. No doubt about it in the historical auto record - the strengths and weaknesses of Sir William were also those of the company or vice versa. With the 20/20 wisdom of hindsight it is possible to see and note that while he created some of the most beautiful high performance cars ever to grace the roads and highways, he ran the company single handled with little thought of who or whom to carry on the reins after he exited. Yet it came spiraling down after the boss Sir William was tragically killed in a car crash unexpectedly in 1955.

Perhaps it can be said this is the single biggest reason that Jaguar is unique and did not follow in the footsteps of other luxury and sport car leaders or their business plan.

Jaguar and its vehicle to a great degree did not employ long term plans and planning.

Their vehicles came to market, met customers needs and the ball or motor car kept rolling in. It was akin to punting in an industry where everyone else was run by bean counting and bean counters who worked down to finding every last penny with which to multiply out pennies saved times vehicles output equals millions dollars more profit, yet produced look a like cars on as few variations as possible and although brightly colored and loaded with expensive options were all too often rather sterile and ordinary.

Hence in the mid 1950's Jaguar, especially with the owner and general manager's tragic death did not emulate BMW in producing upwards of 500,00 unit cars in that year but only a much smaller number of 50,000. As can be said who knows and you cannot change history. In retrospect had Sir William survived or fate had it that his deathly automobile crash had not occurred, then perhaps Jaguar could of or would of ramped up production. If auto unit production figures had increased

under the helm of previous stalwart management, since the export market in the US was more than established, then perhaps cash flow of the company and it solvency would have been maintained into the 1980's. Had that situation occurred, and not the actual course of events that occurred in reality, then the alternative outcome might of well been that Jaguar as a car company and auto manufacturer could of survived intact and never had to be a takeover bid in the 1980's to Ford.

Yet had that occurred would we have had the wonderful legacy and full product line that we came to enjoy and expect from Jaguar. Hardly likely. Simple as that.

A History of Alfa Romeo Cars

Any car enthusiast worth their salt will know the Alfa Romeo brand, but do you know how they got to be one of the world's most important car manufacturers? Founded one hundred years ago in Milan, the Alfa Romeo brand has recently celebrated its centenary on June 24th 2010. It all began in 1906 when the French car firm Alexandre Darracq decided to join forces with Italian investors and create the Societa Anonima Italiana Darraca (SAID), the roots of the famous brand. Initially the
company planned to manufacture their vehicles in Naples, but the site was changed to Milan and a factory was established there instead. A new company began as an offshoot of the business and the manufacturers created the Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili, which would become known as A.L.F.A. The 24 HP was the first break out into the market, designed by Giuseppe Merosi.
With World War I drawing resources elsewhere, the ALFA factory submitted to a cessation in production for three years, recommencing in 1919. Italian entrepreneur and engineer Nicola Romeo became the new director in 1915 and oversaw the war effort, producing munitions in place of motor vehicles. When car production started up once more, Romeo changed the company title to Alfa Romeo and released the first model under this new brand: the Torpedo 20-30. The car company entered a golden age, producing high-class racing cars as well as consumer road vehicles. However, in 1928 Nicola left the firm and Alfa struggled to retain its position.
In1932, with government assistance, the Alfa Romeo brand was rescued and they took control of the company's direction. Under the government of Mussolini, Alfa Romeo became the national car manufacturer but in World War II the factory was badly hit by bombers. Previous production of luxury cars turned into mass-production of popular models. But following the war, Alfa Romeo managed to retain pole position as a leading vehicle
at the Grand Prix. In the 1960s it developed the GTA (Gran Turismo Allegerita) which won the Sports Car Club of America's Trans-Am championship. Despite falling into further financial struggles in the 1970s, the Fiat Group created a new company to manage the production of Alfa Romeo under the Alfa Lancia Industriale S.p.A. Since February 2007 the company has been part of this group, but part of the Fiat cohort since 1986.
